A pair of climbers descend the Banana Ridge (look closely for the two dots) from Camp 1 with Golden Throne behind. Our base camp is on the lower glacier behind the ridge in shadow - about 4,300 feet (1300m) below and five miles (8km) away (as the crow flies). The trails at bottom of frame were made by expeditions heading to Gasherbrum I.
